Shipping policy

Here's what to expect once you've placed your order.

Where we ship

  • Canada
  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Australia
  • South Africa

Where your order ships from

We're a Canadian business, but most orders ship directly from our supplier's warehouses in Asia and the United States rather than from Canada. Sending your parcel straight from the warehouse keeps our costs down and allows us to pass those savings back to you.

We do hold a small amount of stock in Canada, so occasionally an order will ship domestically instead. Either way, your tracking tells you where your parcel is coming from.

Shipping from overseas means Standard delivery takes longer than a domestic order would. Priority is considerably faster where it's offered. Estimated times for each destination are below.

Processing

Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days. You'll receive an email with tracking as soon as your parcel is on its way.

Orders placed over a weekend or on a public holiday are processed the next business day.

Standard and Priority

Every destination has a Standard service. Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and South Africa also have a Priority service, which arrives sooner at a higher cost.

Priority is available on orders up to 2 kg. Above that, Standard is the only option.

Rates are calculated from the weight of your order and shown at checkout before you pay.

Customs and duties: the important difference

This is the part worth reading before you choose a shipping method.

On Standard, customs and duties are already included in what you pay at checkout. Nothing further is owed when your parcel arrives.

On Priority, customs and duties are not included. Your carrier may invoice you for these before or on delivery, on top of what you've already paid us. These charges are set by your country's customs authority, not by us, and we're not able to calculate them in advance.

You'll see which applies next to each option at checkout.

Delivery times

Standard includes customs and duties. Priority arrives sooner but customs and duties are charged separately on delivery.

Once your parcel is on its way, expect it to arrive within:

Canada
Standard: 9 to 14 business days
Priority: 5 to 7 business days

United States
Standard: 5 to 14 business days
Priority: 3 to 5 business days

United Kingdom
Standard: 7 to 10 business days
Priority: 5 to 7 business days

Australia
Standard: 7 to 10 business days

South Africa
Standard: 10 to 15 business days
Priority: 7 to 12 business days

These are estimates rather than guarantees.

Free shipping

Standard shipping is free on orders over $100 before tax, at any weight. Free shipping applies to Standard only, never to Priority.

Holidays and busy periods

Parcels can take longer around Christmas, New Year, Lunar New Year and public holidays, both in Canada and in the country your order ships from. Carriers and customs offices are handling far more parcels than usual at these times, and closures add to it. If your order is for a particular occasion, it's worth allowing extra time.

Carriers

Standard orders ship with YunExpress. Within the United States, orders may ship with USPS instead where the item is held in a US warehouse, which is usually faster. Priority orders ship with DHL, UPS or FedEx depending on your destination. Your carrier is confirmed in your shipping email.

Tracking

Every order ships with tracking. It can take a day or two after dispatch before tracking starts updating, which is normal and doesn't mean anything has gone wrong.

Delivery addresses

Please check your address carefully before you order. We can update it while your order is still unfulfilled, but once it has shipped we're not able to redirect it.

Missing or delayed parcels

If your tracking hasn't moved in a while, or your parcel is marked delivered and you can't find it, email contact@cocopalmclothing.com and we'll chase it with the carrier.
